Women’s Fund of Central Indiana is proud to announce that in its most recent round of funding it has awarded 38 grants totaling $700,000 to nonprofit organizations working to improve the lives of women and girls in Central Indiana.

This round of funding brings the organization’s total grantmaking in 2025 to more than $1 million, a record-setting investment from Women’s Fund, fueled by its Women in Health Collaborative Fund grants, trust-based philanthropy grants, and annual competitive grantmaking.

The average grant awarded this year was $18,400. Among the 38 organizations receiving support:

  • 53% (20 organizations) operate with annual budgets under $250,000, demonstrating the Fund’s commitment to building capacity among smaller nonprofits.
  • 21% (8 organizations) were first-time applicants.
  • 45% (17 organizations) received their first-ever grant from the Fund.
  • 55% (21 organizations) are previous grantees continuing to expand their impact with renewed support.
  • 8% of total grant dollars were awarded to organizations outside of Marion County, extending the Fund’s reach across the region.

“This record year of grantmaking reflects our belief in the power of investing in organizations led by and serving women and girls,” said Tamara Winfrey-Harris, president of Women’s Fund. “These grants strengthen our communities and improve lives by ensuring more women and girls have what they need to reach their full potential. Women’s Fund is committed to continuing this investment in the years ahead, including expanding our work statewide beginning in 2026.”

These 2025 grants support a diverse range of programs, from health services and workforce training to educational opportunities and leadership development for women and girls.
