Celebrated author and podcaster joins Women’s Fund for an evening of inspiration and impact on Nov. 6 in Indianapolis
INDIANAPOLIS — Women’s Fund of Central Indiana today announced that New York Times bestselling author and podcast host Glennon Doyle will headline its annual Power of Women event on Thursday, Nov. 6, 2025. The signature fundraiser brings together community leaders, advocates, and philanthropists to celebrate and support the power of women and girls in Central Indiana.
Glennon Doyle is the CEO and Founder of Treat Media, an award-winning media company that makes art for humans who want to stay human. She is an author, podcaster, producer, and philanthropist. Her books include the #1 New York Times bestseller UNTAMED, which has sold more than three million copies; the #1 New York Times bestseller LOVE WARRIOR, an Oprah’s Book Club selection; the New York Times bestseller CARRY ON, WARRIOR; and GET UNTAMED: The Journal. Glennon, named one of the “50 Most Powerful People in Podcasting,” is co-host of the chart-topping podcast WE CAN DO HARD THINGS, which has received over a half billion plays. She is an executive producer of the Sundance award-winning film Come See Me in the Good Light. Glennon was Founder and President of Together Rising, a nonprofit organization which distributed more than $55M to women, families and children in crisis. Her most recent book, WE CAN DO HARD THINGS: Answers to Life’s 20 Questions, created with Abby Wambach, Amanda Doyle and Treat Media, is being hailed as “the guidebook for being alive.”
“We are thrilled to welcome Glennon Doyle to Indianapolis for our 2025 Power of Women event,” said Tamara Winfrey-Harris, president of Women’s Fund of Central Indiana. “Her voice inspires millions to embrace honesty, courage, and community. In Central Indiana, where women and girls face profound challenges from high poverty rates to health inequities, her messages resonate with audiences seeking both personal healing and collective action.
The State of Women in Central Indiana Report, released by Women’s Fund in partnership with Indiana University’s Polis Center, paints a sobering picture of the challenges facing women across the region:
- 17% of women ages 18–34 in Central Indiana live in poverty, a higher rate than any other female age group.
- One in 10 Hoosier women avoid medical care due to cost, with rates doubling for Hispanic women.
- Infant mortality among Black infants is nearly three times that of White infants in Central Indiana.
- Nationally, just 1.9% of all U.S. philanthropic funding supports women- and girl-specific causes, and only 0.5% supports causes focused on women and girls of color.
These realities make gatherings like Power of Women more than an event — they are a call to action.
