Still on Shaky Ground 2006 compiles information from a variety of sources to illustrate what these varied statistics mean for women and girls, particularly those in central Indiana.

Abstract: Still on Shaky Ground compiles information from a variety of sources to bring out the meaning of these statistics for women and girls, particularly those in central Indiana. In 1996 the founders of Women's Fund of Central Indiana believed that the needs of women and girls required special attention and deserved adequate funding. Although progress has been made on many fronts since the original On Shaky Ground was published, there are still issues that uniquely affect women and girls.

Abstract: On Shaky Ground: The Status of Women and Girls in Central Indiana is the inaugural research publication produced by Women's Fund of Central Indiana. The document is a report of research conducted beginning in 1993, which resulted in the case for forming a community endowment for women and girls to support endeavors which benefit them. Many aspects of the lives of women and girls in central Indiana and in this country were considered and explored. The report includes the following sections: demographic profile of women in central Indiana, major issues - threats and vulnerabilities - experienced by women and girls in central Indiana, an overview of the programs offered to women and girls and issues in funding these programs, and information regarding the role of women in philanthropy.

Abstract: 1999 Study Group Findings report on three areas of research: economic empowerment, health, and self-development. The research was conducted by study groups comprised of women in the community. This document compiles interviews from key informants, local and national research, identified areas of concern, and identifies the strengths and deficits in available services. The results of this report were used to inform Women's Fund's funding priorities.
