William W. Barrett

Bill Barrett joined the Women’s Fund Advisory Board in 2006 and co-chairs the Grants Committee. He is an attorney who resides in Johnson County, currently serving as litigation counsel for Johnson County Government and as counsel to the Johnson County Plan Commission and the Johnson County Board of Zoning Appeals. He is a former magistrate of Johnson Circuit and Superior Courts and a former Assistant Chief Deputy Prosecutor in Johnson County.
Bill is chairman of the Indiana Gaming Commission. He also serves on the boards of Leadership Johnson County, the Johnson County Community Corrections Advisory Board and the Johnson County Jail Management Committee and has served two terms as president of the Rotary Club of Indianapolis-Sunrise.
He is a graduate of Miami University (Ohio) and the Indiana University School of Law and has a master’s degree in Russian Legal History from I.U. He has served as an adjunct professor at Franklin College, the University of Indianapolis and IUPUI.
