Melissa Proffitt Reese

"We need to do all that we can to make our women and children self-sufficient so that they can take care of themselves as adults. Then, and only then, can they ensure the best for their own families, serve as appropriate role models for the rest of the community, and eventually give back to their communities. When women are strong, our entire community is strengthened. Oftentimes, women just need a hand up - not a handout - in order to better their lives and the lives of their families. The positive results of those changes will ultimately trickle out to our community."
