Former Lieutenant Governor Among Eight New Women’s Fund of Central Indiana Advisory Board Members

INDIANAPOLIS (Feb. 8, 2017)—Women's Fund of Central Indiana, a special interest fund of Central Indiana Community Foundation, has announced additions to its advisory board effective immediately. For the second year, Melissa Proffitt, managing partner at Ice Miller LLP, will serve as board chair. She is joined by eight new advisory board members:

The Honorable Gregory A. Ballard, former mayor of Indianapolis and current visiting fellow at University of Indianapolis’ Institute for Civic Leadership & Mayoral Archives, has long championed the work of Women’s Fund.

Sue Beesley, a partner at Bingham Greenbaum Doll LLP, joins the board after participating in Women’s Fund’s Perspectives program that offers networking and learning opportunities for women. Beesley served as Perspectives president for two years.

Sue Ellsperman, former lieutenant governor of Indiana and current president of Ivy Tech Community College, has an interest in Women’s Fund’s efforts toward economic self-sufficiency for women.

Thiwasha Harper, clinical project manager at Eli Lilly & Company, joins the board after participating in OPTIONS Class 15, a philanthropy education program for women 25 to 45.

Andrea Kleymeyer, marketing director at Indiana Design Center, sits on the board in an ex-officio capacity as OPTIONS alumnae president and was a member of OPTIONS Class 12.

Juliana Meyer, a surgeon at Franciscan St. Francis Health joins the board and after participating in OPTIONS Class 11 and serving as OPTIONS alumnae president for two years.

Cara Berg Raunick, a nurse practitioner for the St. Vincent Hospital, Pelvic Health Program, will join the board in an ex-officio capacity as an OPTIONS representative and was a member of OPTIONS Class 16.

Steve Standifird, is dean of the Butler College of Business and has an interest in Women’s Fund’s NEXT Initiative, a 10-year commitment to help emerging adult women (ages 18-24) move from economic instability to economic stability.

Women’s Fund is grateful for the service of outgoing board members: Julie Bowen, Keely Butrum, Lauren Dungy-Poythress, Sally Lanham, Charlie Morgan, and Sunny Lu Williams.

I watch the Wee One's Documentary & I think this is a wonderful program. It gives the Mom's a new start. I hope all the US states implement this program.
