As June winds to an end, I am enjoying the start of summer and all the promise it has for hot days at the pool, cooking out in the backyard, and anticipating 4th of July celebrations. I am grateful for the coolair-conditioning in my house and in my office and realize this comfort isn’t shared by all.
Each month, we will introduce you to someone who fits the profile of the women we hope to serve through the NEXT Initiative. The women you will meet have made it through the 18-24 year-old phase of life and are successful, or not, they are 18-24 and struggling, they are going to be 18 soon and unsure of what is next for them ... you will meet a wide variety of women who we hope will inspire you with their tenacity, strength, and bold outlook on life. Women's Fund made a bold announcement regarding funding for emerging adult women, ages 18-24. As a way to introduce the new initiative called "NEXT" and to begin creating a connection, we have asked several women to answer the question: "What would I tell my 18-year-old self?"
